Dream Warrior Pictures celebrated the special poster on social media. In a statement, the production company referred to Karuppu as Suriya’s “biggest box office blast” and said the film has now earned more than ₹300 crore worldwide and is now a huge blockbuster. The team reported that the movie has earned ₹194.55 crore in gross collections in India with net collection of ₹168.15 crore and has been a fantastic hit both in the domestic and abroad market.

Karuppu is an interesting movie with a unique story, a very good story, an engaging narrative, and strong performances that I am grateful to RJ Balaji. It's a great movie that I recommend watching - the film has been praised for its unique storyline, and it mixes social themes with commercial entertainment, which makes it a very interesting movie. Suriya’s strong screen presence and Trisha’s performance are among the film’s greatest strengths, which have been hailed by film critics and moviegoers alike. Supporting actors Indrans and Anagha Maya Ravi are also hailed for their great performances.

It is also very popular in terms of the technical aspects of the film. As a result of the music composed by Sai Abhyankkar, there has been great popularity amongst the audience and cinematographer GK Vishnu’s visuals are also credited for the film’s visual impact. With this cast and crew, the film has been highly successful at the box office.

After the huge success of Karuppu, there is already talk of a sequel. Director RJ Balaji recently started looking into Karuppu 2 and has some interesting ideas for it. Speaking in an interview, he said if a sequel is made, he would like to explore the topic of faith and politics. He said his movie Mookuthi Amman dealt with divinity vs. fake godmen, and Karuppu was about faith versus the judiciary. In the next film, he would like to put politics into the conversation, and why and how it’s linked with religion in it.

RJ Balaji also said that the sequel is still conceptual and would take time to develop. He did not want to rush the project and would only do it if he felt he could achieve what the audience expects. The right time to revisit the franchise is when viewers have finished and moved on from the first film, and take in the second film and what will happen to the franchise and why.

Karuppu is still in a supernova of theatrical output, and there is hope for a sequel, and the franchise has a future to look forward to. For now, the film is at ₹300 crore and has a huge number of fans all over the world.
