Delhi Palam Fire: Massive Blaze Engulfs Residential Building, 30 Fire Tenders Deployed

A massive fire broke out in a residential building in the Delhi’s Palam area on Wednesday, triggering panic among residents and prompting a large-scale emergency response. Thick plumes of smoke were seen billowing into the sky as flames rapidly spread through the structure.

According to fire department officials, at least 30 fire tenders were rushed to the spot to control the blaze. The fire reportedly started in the early hours and quickly intensified, raising concerns about people being trapped inside the building.

Emergency services, including the Delhi Fire Service, police, and local authorities, immediately launched a rescue operation. Firefighters worked tirelessly to evacuate residents from nearby buildings while attempting to douse the flames and prevent the fire from spreading further.

Preliminary reports suggest that the fire may have originated due to a short circuit, though the exact cause is yet to be officially confirmed. Authorities are also assessing whether proper fire safety measures were in place in the building.

As of now, there have been no confirmed reports of casualties, but several people are feared to have suffered from smoke inhalation. Ambulances have been deployed at the scene to provide immediate medical assistance.

Visuals from the site show intense flames engulfing multiple floors, with firefighters using hydraulic ladders and high-pressure hoses to bring the situation under control. The narrow lanes in Palam reportedly posed challenges for fire engines to access the site quickly.

Officials have assured that a detailed investigation will be conducted once the fire is fully extinguished. Residents in the area have been advised to stay indoors and avoid the vicinity as a precaution.

The incident once again highlights concerns around urban fire safety, electrical hazards, and emergency preparedness in densely populated residential zones.
