A shocking crime has shaken Kurnool district in Andhra Pradesh. Padma, a woman married for nine years to Puli Narendra, brutally murdered her husband with the help of her lover, Vamshi.
Narendra was an innocent hardworking man and he really loved his wife. He referred to her as the “Lakshmi Mata” of his home. Together they had three children. But last year, Padma met Vamshi and started to fall in love with him. And soon Vamshi started to visit Padma when Narendra was away at work. Their children noticed and informed their father.
Narendra was devastated. The family tried to resolve the matter through a number of panchayat meetings but the affair continued. Padma even left for Emmiganur and sent a lawyer’s notice demanding divorce. Narendra, in the interest of his children, pleaded to her to come back. She did, but the relationship with Vamshi did not end.
On the night of March 22, 2026, Padma informed Vamshi that her husband was asleep at home. Vamshi entered the house and tied Narendra’s hands so he couldn’t resist. Padma slit his throat. Together, they loaded the body into an auto and took it to a bypass road. They poured petrol on the body and lit it on fire to erase all evidence.
The next morning, Padma casually called her mother‑in‑law and asked, “Has Narendra come home? He left his phone behind.” But police investigations quickly found out the truth. With call records and location data they identified the crime to Padma and Vamshi. They were arrested.
This case has shocked the community. That is a lesson in betrayal, greed and cruelty and how it also devours families. Narendra’s trust and love were repaid with violence. His children are now left without their father and with the trauma of knowing their mother was involved in his murder.
The crime also raises questions about morality and responsibility. The bedrock of marriage is trust, respect and care. But betrayal brings about untold damage. Padma’s actions show how dangerous unchecked desires can be when combined with cruelty in one’s life.
Karimnagar is not just a family tragedy but a social warning. It makes us realize the violence that can be done in families and we must pursue justice to save the innocent.
